FAQs

Which of your services is right for me?

Here are a few things to consider when deciding which dog service is best for you:

  • Your dog's needs: What type of service does your dog need? Do they need training, boarding, grooming, or something else?

  • Your budget: How much are you willing to spend on dog care?

  • Your location: Where do you live? Are there any dog services in your area?

  • Your schedule: How much time do you have to spend with your dog?

What is your approach to pet training?

Dog training is individualized for every dog and is modified to get the best results with the least amount of stress on the dog. Here at Bark Knight, we believe in a balanced training program philosophy.  Balanced training is a combination of positive and negative reinforcement with positive and negative punishment to modify behavior. It aims to create a balance between encouraging desired behaviors through rewards and discouraging unwanted behaviors through corrections. In addition to balanced training, we offer force free training for appropriate dogs.

Is my pet too old to be trained?

No, it is never too late to train your pet. Dogs, cats, and other animals are capable of learning new things at any age. Older pets may take a bit longer to learn new behaviors, but they can still be trained with patience and consistent training. Some tips for training an older dog: Keep sessions short and fun, use positive reinforcement, be patient and consistent. If you're not sure how to train your older pet, contact me today!
